This is a space where I will post monthly about writing, research, travel, and other shenanigans related to writing nonfiction for young readers.

If you are reading excellent nonfiction or have an amazing nugget about history, especially if it is about the Eighteenth Century, the current time period I am researching and writing about, I would love to hear it.

Hi! I'm a writer, reader, researcher, yoga enthusiast, traveler, sister, aunt, partner, higher education administrator, and lover of fairy tales and French food, especially pastries.

I've been researching and writing a nonfiction YA biography of Marie Leprince de Beaumont for a decade. Her story is amazing. Her story has been lost. I am the one to share it. I hope you will join me on the journey as I search for a literary agent and work towards publication.
